Decarbonization

In our pursuit of environmental excellence, Semikron Danfoss focuses on decarbonization and circularity. We are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint across all scopes:

Scope 1 - Direct emissions
Scope 2 - Indirect emissions from energy consumption
Scope 3 - Indirect emissions from our value chain

With a specific emphasis on the semiconductor industry, we actively address emissions from upstream processes and the use phase of our products. As part of the Danfoss Group, we are committed to achieving carbon neutrality in our global operations by 2030.

Through our Group Sustainability reporting, we comply with the EU ESRS/CSRD reporting standards. Additionally, we are committed to Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) verified targets and to maintain strong ESG ratings at key ESG rating agencies (e.g. EcoVadis and SAQ), underscoring our dedication to transparency and sustainable growth. By embedding ESG into our operations, Semikron Danfoss is shaping a sustainable future for the semiconductor industry.

Circularity

Through a rigorous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) process adhering to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards, we collaborate closely with our customers during the development phase to minimize the product carbon footprint.

This commitment aligns with the Danfoss Group's goal of ensuring that 80% of new products contribute to the green transition by 2030. It also aligns with the Danfoss Group's focus on enhancing resource efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting the circularity of materials throughout our production processes.
