Kern Jain appointed President of Danfoss Power Electronics
Kern Jain takes over from Dominic Dorfner as President of Danfoss Power Electronics effective 1 August 2026. Kern Jain most recently served as Segment CFO of Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives and brings more than 20 years of experience in global technology and pharmaceutical companies.
Kern Jain has started in his new role as President of Danfoss Power Electronics on 1 August 2026. The Danfoss business unit develops and markets power electronics products and solutions under the established Semikron Danfoss brand. He succeeds Dominic Dorfner, who has left the company at his own request. Over the past months, the two worked closely together to ensure a smooth handover, allowing Jain to meet customers and colleagues at the PCIM Europe Expo & Conference in Nuremberg ahead of his official start.
Kern Jain has been part of the Danfoss Group for three years. He most recently served as Segment CFO of Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives, and previously as a board member of Semikron Danfoss. He brings more than 20 years of experience in global technology and pharmaceutical companies

The leadership transition coincides with the renaming of the business unit from Semikron Danfoss to Danfoss Power Electronics, reflecting being part of the Danfoss Group’s core electrification business. The established Semikron Danfoss brand will be retained for products and solutions. Within the Danfoss Group, the Power Electronics and Drives segment operates two distinct businesses: Danfoss Drives and Danfoss Power Electronics.
